Rhine Marathon in Düsseldorf

This year the Rhine River Marathon from Leverkusen to Düsseldorf was 100 metres longer – the reason was the high water level. After 1978 there was finally a new course record and for the first time a team finished under two hours: Matthias Auer, Antonio Bashish, Tobias Gathmann, Philipp Kaltenborn and coxswain Sabine Oertel from the Stuttgart Cannstatter Rowing Club finished in 1:59,20 hours.
